Master of Science (M.S.) Degree: Applied Poultry Sciences
Prepares emerging leaders for upper management opportunities in the workplace. 


Through a combination of classes and hands-on research, learn and activate the underlying principles of poultry production and health. Designed by poultry professionals for emerging poultry leaders, this Master’s program is created with your career development needs at the center.  Working directly with industry and UMN researchers, you will personalize your thesis, assess your own data, and develop resulting insights that benefit your organization and help accelerate your career.

  • UMN registered students and non-registered poultry professionals are encouraged to apply

Course credits include Poultry Certificate courses, and one can apply eight credits taken as part of the Poultry Certificate towards this Master's degree. Additional core and elective courses round out the required 20-course credits for a research-based M.S. degree. Students pursuing the research-based M.S. degree have the option to perform hands-on research on the Minneapolis/Saint Paul campuses or at the Mid-Central Research and Outreach Center campus in Willmar, Minnesota.
